What does it mean that God is without beginning or end?

He was not created by some other being and did not begin at a certain time. He has no end and no successor. The whole life of the universe is for Him as a split second compared to His eternity. For Him there is no past, present, and future, but all is eternal present. The apostle Peter says, “with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day” (2 Pet. 3:8; Ps. 90:4). Time began when God created the visible world. So, God’s concern for humanity is for them to attain eternal life through the work of salvation.
