Who Is Christ? Chalcedon and the Coptic Church
In 451 a council at Chalcedon divided the Church over how to speak of one Christ who is both God and man. The Coptic Church did not accept it, and still confesses with St. Cyril “one incarnate nature of God the Word.” How that happened, read from the councils and the Fathers themselves.
