The Fathers

A year with the Fathers

52 weeks, one Father a week, beginning at Nayrouz (1 Tout), the Coptic New Year. It opens with St. Ignatius, who knew the Apostles, and closes on the medieval Copts who kept all of it in Arabic.

Week 1 is the week of Nayrouz, 1 Tout. This page does not mark which week it is now, because the Coptic date is not something this site can work out on its own — count forward from Nayrouz, or start at week 1 whenever you begin.
