Who he was

- His great work, in twelve books, addressed Ad Iustinianum and commonly known as Pro defensione trium capitlorum is a defense of the Three Chapters based on documentation relating to the various phases of the Christological controversy starting from the 4th century (Apollinarianism, Nestorianism, Eutychianism).
- He wrote two later, shorter works: Contra Mocianum Scholasticum and Epistola fidei catholicae in defensione trium capitulorum in which supports schismatics who defended the Three Chapters, and considers as heretics all who condemned them.
- His writings supply important documentation for the events surrounding the Second Council of Constantinople(553).
