Who he was
- Bishop of Ptolemais.
- He was one of the leaders against St. John Chrysostom, and participated in the Synod of Oak against him in 403.
- He frequently preached at Constantinople and had so fine a voice and delivery of speech that he was nicknamed by some “Chrysostom.”
- He must have died shortly after the Synod of Oak.
What he wrote
- Gennadius says that he wrote one great volume Against Avarice and a homily, full of godly patience and humility On the Healing of the Blind man.
- A homily On the Creation of the Soul of Adam and on the Passion of Christ.
- There are also two Christmas sermons.
