The Types of the Theotokos
Through the month of Kiahk the Church sings the Theotokos by names Scripture gave her before she was born. Five of them are things: a ladder, a bush, an ark, a rod and a gate. Each is drawn here as it is told, moving as you scroll, with the verse in full and a Father on what it shows.
- Jacob's Ladderhe lighted on a spot, and slept there, for the sun was set
- The Burning Bushthere appeared unto him the angel of the Lord in a flame of fire out of a bush
- The Ark of the Covenantthou shalt make an ark of incorruptible wood
