What role does the Holy Spirit play in the renewal of the Church?

By the renewal of the Church we mean its continuous growth, for the Church is a living being that is constantly growing, not a static being. She bears the streams of the Holy Spirit who is working in her — growth bursting with life. These fiery streams burn and invigorate, through which we preserve the past without stagnation, and upon which we build solutions to new contemporary problems. For the mystery of her renewal is the indwelling of the Lord Christ in us and the coming of His Holy Spirit in our inner depths.⁹⁰²
