Did Adam and Eve lose their hope of salvation after hearing the judgment that resulted from their disobedience?

Although the wages of sin is death, God declared His mercy on them and their descendants through the descent of His only begotten Son, the Incarnate, and the gift of salvation through His crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension to heaven. They heard God’s words to the serpent: “and I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed. He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel” (Gen. 3:15).
