God instituted natural laws to preserve creation. The Psalmist says, “O Lord, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all … These all wait for You, that You may give them their food in due season. What you give them they gather in; you open Your hand, they are filled with good.” (Ps. 104:24–28). It is true that some plants, animals, and birds become extinct; but the faithful live with God forever.
