Why did God call Himself “Jehovah” (Ex. 3:14–15) when Moses the prophet asked for His name?

Q156 · Faith in God and Our Knowledge of Him

The name “Jehovah” comes from the Hebrew word YHWH, which means the one who is, the one who exists. God exists or is present in heaven, on earth, and in all the world, and He dwells in the midst of His people. He is the one who gives existence to all other things. He cannot be compared to any other being.
